It all started when I realized my passion for the healthcare field and working directly with patients. My desire to promote health and wellness among my loved ones led me to pursue a career in the Physical therapy field. In 2002, I earned my degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Suffolk County Community College. Eager to expand my knowledge and to add a more holistic approach to my treatments, I completed my coursework in massage therapy at New York College of Health Professions and become a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2006. In 2008, I become a Certified Fitness Trainer with International Sports Sciences Association.

Over the past 2 decades, as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I have dedicated myself to treating various musculoskeletal conditions with manual therapy and exercise to help patients improve mobility, strength, and function. I have enjoyed working in the outpatient setting where I can help both young athletes recover from injuries and returning to sports, as well as elderly patients seeking to return to their favorite activities or just being able to stay independent with their daily activities.

In my personal time away from work, I enjoy running. The challenge of long distance running and training for marathons is so rewarding to me. When I’m not working or hitting the pavement, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I’m a proud mom of a handsome 6 year old boy and a 3 year old rescue dog.

Lao Tzu, a philosopher and marathoner himself, said it perfectly and how I approach every PT session with my patients:

“Your marathon journey begins with a single step, but it's the determination that takes you to the finish line”
