Ian Mannix, DPT

Movement has always been at the center of my life. Whether it’s surfing new waves, hiking in the mountains, or jumping into a game of pickup sports, I’ve always found freedom and connection through staying active. That passion naturally led me to a career in helping others move better, feel stronger, and get back to the activities that make them feel alive.

My path of becoming a PT has been a bit of an adventure. I studied kinesiology at Temple University, picked up a master’s in exercise physiology from The University of Texas, then crossed the world to Australia and earned my Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University. Along the way, I trained as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Coach, and Wilderness EMT with NOLS in Wyoming. Before stepping fully into the clinic, I spent years in the world of college sports performance, testing the edge of what athletes’ bodies can handle and how to rebuild them even stronger.

Now at Latitude Physical Therapy, I bring that performance meets adventure mindset to every client I work with. Whether it’s an athlete hungry to get back to competition, a weekend warrior chasing their next surf trip, or someone simply wanting to move without pain, my goal is the same: restore movement, rebuild confidence, and get them back to the things that make life exciting.

When I’m not helping people move better, I’m usually surfing, training, or playing sports outside. For me, physical therapy isn’t just about fixing injuries. It’s about unlocking potential, fueling passion, and living a life built on movement.
