Brenden Lenahan, DPT

My interest in physical therapy grew out of my own love for sports and strength training. I played football locally for Southampton and later became passionate about weightlifting and bodybuilding, which led to a deeper curiosity about how the body moves, adapts, and heals. I was also introduced to physical therapy at a young age through my younger brother, who has cerebral palsy—an experience that had a lasting impact on how I view rehab and patient care.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2014 and moved back home to Southampton shortly after graduating. During my training, I gained experience in a variety of settings, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Franciscan Children’s Hospital, and internationally with the New Zealand Breakers. Since then, I’ve been practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy in the Hamptons, working with people of all ages and abilities. I’ve treated a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological conditions, and general fitness concerns.

My approach to care is straightforward and honest, with a strong emphasis on education and empowerment. I enjoy helping patients understand their bodies, build confidence in movement, and take an active role in their recovery—both during therapy and long after it ends.

Outside of the clinic, I spend most of my time with my wife, our two sons, and our Boston terrier. We love staying active together through sports, hiking, and traveling.
